Malaysia's SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad has announces securing two engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contracts, worth around $415 million. The contracts are for work offshore Malaysia and Thailand.
Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn Bhd (CPOC) has awarded EPCIC contract, as per which SapuraKencana is required to provide 4 wellhead platforms as well as related subsea pipelines for Block N-17 and B-17-01 Field Phase 3 Development Project in the Thailand-Malaysia Joint Development Area (JDA). Work on the contract will take around 39 months, and should begin from this month, to complete in September 2017.
Under the second EPCIC contract, SapuraKenanca will be providing 3 wellhead platforms in the North Malay Basin to Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V. Already, work has begun the 25-month long contract during the second quarter of 2014, with completion expected by the third quarter of 2016.
