A P9.9 billion deal has been secured by EEI Corporation with NEPC Power Construction Corporation for the construction of a 3 X 135 Mw coal-fired power plant for FDC Utilities at the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Misamis Oriental.
The new projects level of workable contracts has already hit reached the P35 billion mark, which is the highest in the history of the company.
Two-thirds of its current orders includes of domestic construction projects while the remaining one-third are foreign-based projects.
The existing projects of EEI covers high-rise residential and commercial buildings, infrastructure projects, industrial plants, wind farms and other power plant projects, spread all over the Philippines and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via its joint venture company, ARCC.
The record order book will translate to develop revenues going forward. The FDC project may account for 30-35 percent of progress billings over the next 30-36 months in particular.
They observed that electro-mechanical work usually commands a premium so margins should increase by 100 basis points over the said period.
