UNITED STATES : Babcock & Wilcox gets contract worth $37M

The Babcock & Wilcox Co. announced that its construction business received a contract worth about $37 million to help install a dust collection system at a Michigan power plant.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based energy and technology services company will perform construction, electrical and mechanical work at Consumers Energy\'s J.H. Campbell Generating Complex near West Olive, Mich. It also will supply flues, insulation and structural steel for the 400 megawatt, coal-fired unit\'s dust collection system.

Mr Pete Waanders president of BWCC stated, “BWCC is a leader in power plant construction and installation services. We are focused on performing our work safely, on time and within budget as we execute this project for Consumers Energy.
