Partnership agreements are signed by two Abu Dhabi-based organisations with Kaspersky Lab, a security solutions provider company in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Racing expanded its partnership with the security company for a second year to improve motorsport opportunities and improve IT security awareness whereas Injazat data systems signed a fresh agreement to improve cyber security in the region.

Injazat and Kaspersky Lab as per the agreement will share expertise in different cyber security related domains and jointly pursue business opportunities in the UAE and other parts of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Ebrahim Mohammad Lari, chief executive officer of Injazat data systems, said cyber security is a critical concern. “Today, all the services are based on cloud and mobility. Without a proper secure system, [the] entire infrastructure is vulnerable. Security is very important.”

He said that the agreement with Kaspersky Lab signifies a major step in this regard. “Kaspersky Lab will be a vital ally in helping us deliver security solutions, raise public awareness on cyber threats and effectively defend our organisation against intrusions and attacks.” Injazat data systems, which is 100 % possessed by Mubadala, the investment arm of Abu Dhabi government, presents safe and secure IT services to its customers. It has government departments and private enterprises as its clients. The company is intending to increase into the GCC and is set to launch an office in Qatar next month.

Kaspersky Lab, with its holding company registered in the United Kingdom, at present functions in above 200 countries providing protection for above 300 million users worldwide. Abu Dhabi Racing is working on several initiatives planned to encourage the Emirate’s presence in global motorsport.
