Ericsson today announced that it was presented with two awards for LTE innovation at the North America LTE Awards event held on November 19 in Dallas, TX. Ericsson Connected Vehicle Cloud was recognized for Most Innovative LTE Service and Ericsson Cloud Manager for NFV Innovation of the Year. The annual awards program honors excellence in LTE. "The "Networked Society" encompasses billions of connected people and devices in an increasingly mobile world with cloud-based access to everything," said Elisabetta Romano, Vice President and Head of OSS and Service Enablement, Business Unit Support Solutions, Ericsson. "LTE is changing how consumers connect to the world and our Connected Vehicle Cloud and Cloud Manager make these services even more valuable to consumers."
Ericsson Connected Vehicle Cloud builds on telecom network capabilities to deliver dramatically improved quality of experience, and creates new business opportunities for the automotive ecosystem and new M2M revenue streams for operators. The automotive industry is an increasingly global business, and connecting vehicles demands a new, profitable and innovative business model that will leverage the potential of the automotive ecosystem with other connected industries. The cloud is modernizing networks, supporting speed, agility and innovation, making it possible to add unprecedented new services.
