In a move to boost budget spending during this year, the city administration has opened seven municipal-level Goods and Services Procurement Agency (ULP) units.

On Monday, City secretary Saefullah stated that the municipal-level procurement units will be resuming procurement-related operations which were earlier executed by municipal-level agency units.

Saefullah said, “We are hoping to expedite procurement projects in 2015,” expecting that this launch would boost city budget spending in 2015.

During last year, the city witnessed low budget spending, having realized around 70 percent of a total Rp 72 trillion. He added, “I hope we will see better spending this year.”
