In order to enhance budget spending in 2015, the city authorities have launched 7 municipal-level Goods and Services Procurement Agency (ULP) units. City secretary Saefullah said the municipal-level purchase units would restart procurement-related tasks that were earlier implemented by municipal-level agency units.

Speaking at City Hall, Saefullah said : "We are hoping to expedite procurement projects in 2015." He voiced hope for the launch to be able to enhance city budget spending this year.

Having realized about 70% of a Rp 72 trillion in total, the city saw low budget spending in 2014. Saefullah added : "I hope we will see better spending this year."
