Turkey : TURKEY to build national framework incorporating all future anti-cyber activity and programs
Publish Date : 25-Feb-2015
Turkey is looking to develop a national framework that would include all future anti-cyber activity and programs. The concerned system is the "Cyber Security Operation Center," which the Turkish government will build on national software.
A senior procurement official said : "This [system] will work like a main operating system any big software company today features. All future work will be integrated into this system, like different programs working under a single operating system. It will aim to minimize vulnerability from cyber attacks. The system will have defense, security and commercial applications."
In the mean time, Turkey's procurement office, the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM), is preparing to establish a unit to especially tackle cyber threats. The country's military already is setting up its own cyber threat units.
