Publish Date : 11-Mar-2015

The Bulgarian Regional Development Ministry has released a tender to assign a public procurement related to the country's part of the offshore section of the South Stream gas pipeline. The tender is worth around BGN 66 000. In addition to conducting an appraisal of the building lease for the seabed, the tender's winner will be required to develop a methodology to decide the amount of the easement compensation for the Pasha Dere beach near Varna.

The last date to submit the bids is April 9, 2015. The announcement reminds that the offshore part of the South Stream gas pipeline is comprised of 4 parallel lines transporting gas from the Russian Anapa to the Bulgarian Varna through the Black Sea.

The four lines pass via the Bulgarian territorial sea and surface through a micro-tunnel under the Pasha Dere-1 beach to reach the ground facilities close to compressor station South Stream Bulgaria AD.

The tender's announcement was published ins spite of Russian President Vladimir Putin's earlier declaration that Russia will pull back from the South Stream gas pipeline project.
