United Kingdom : ADVANCED HEALTH & CARE announced approved supplier on NHS SBS procurement framework

Publish Date : 06-Apr-2015

Advanced Health & Care (Advanced), a provider of healthcare software, has been announced as an authorized vendor on the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Healthcare Clinical Information Systems framework. Split into six lots, the new framework, is worth up to Ł1.25 billion.

Advanced is among 26 providers that have been selected for the framework, which will operated for 4 years with a prospective extension of two years and is free for all NHS organisations to access. The company will provide its Adastra and Carenotes clinical patient management systems, in addition to its combined mobile solutions, on 4 of the framework's lots.

NHS SBS has launched the framework to provide suppliers with a more cost efficient way of procurement by making sure they do not have to implement the whole OJEU process, which can be significantly more costly, to tender for healthcare systems. NHS providers can instead localise their technology needs and hold mini-contests among vendors listed on the framework that can be concluded in a shorter timeframe and at a much lower cost.

Jim Chase, Managing Director of Advanced Health & Care, said, "We are very pleased to be included on the SBS framework. By reducing the time it takes to procure our market leading and interoperable clinical solutions, NHS providers can take advantage of significant efficiency savings and extend these benefits to improving patient care much sooner than was possible before."
