The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is to bid out four contracts to construct, expand and rehabilitate seaports in Luzon and Visayas.
The PPA has asked interested groups to forward bids for the P212.6 million Tubigan port expansion project in Bohol; rehabilitation of the damaged wharf in Tabaco, Albay for P198.5 million; construction for the back-up area and pier extension in Baybay, Leyte, worth P79.7 million; and P52.4 million construction of the port operations building in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
On April 23, a pre-bid conference will be organised and interested groups will have time till May 7 to submit their bids.
An open competitive bidding using non-discretionary pass or fail criteria as specified in the revised implementing rules and regulations of the Government Procurement Reform Act, will be conducted by the PPA.
