BOMBARDIER, PARSONS secures airport development deal

The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) in the US has granted Parsons Construction and Bombardier Transportation an agreement to overhaul the airport transit system automated people mover at O'Hare International Airport.
Bombardier's offer in the agreement is $180m, and incorporates the supply of 36 Innovia APM 256 rubber tyred vehicles, communications based train control (CBTC) framework for driverless operation, and onboard communications. The vehicles and programmed train control framework will give a focused arrangement and limit increment for Chicago airplane terminal travel overhaul.
