United States : 5 contractors to offer rail line construction bids to California High Speed Rail
Publish Date : 16-May-2015
The California High Speed Rail Authority is looking for offers from 5 contractors to outline and construct the third section of the task. It's for a 22 mile stretch of the rail line in Tulare and Kern regions. The officials plan to grant the deal before the year end.
Ted Hart, a high speed rail opponent, said, " An honest updated cost estimate for the entire statewide system and every segment there of could well exceed $150 billion and more likely would be $200 billion range today."
The principal section of the rail line would keep running from Merced to the San Fernando Valley. Rail authorities trust that area will be prepared by 2022. That area alone is hoped cost around $31 billion.
