The State's National Development Finance Agency (NDFA), has chosen British constructer Prime Balfour Beatty as favored tenderer to construct 14 essential health care centres all over the nation. The 14 destinations are in Ballymote, Boyle, Claremorris Westport, Tuam, Ballinrobe, Limerick, Dungarvan, Carrick on Suir, Waterford City (East), Wexford Town, Kilcock, Summerhill and Coolock.

Under the deal Prime Balfour Beatty will plan, construct, back and keep up the network of primary care centres. Healthcare services will be overseen by the Health Service Executive (HSE) after the centres have been constructed.

The task is one of the initial 4 European plan reserved to get investment through the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI). The NDFA's part in this venture is as the acquiring body and fiscal counselor for and behalf of the Department of Health, which is the Sanctioning Authority, with the HSE as Sponsoring Agency.
