Conergy plans participation in the tender for phase III of Dubai's up to 3-GW Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum solar project.
ACWA Power International and its Spanish partner TSK had won the 200-MW phase II project earlier during this year, which would be completed by April 2017. Conergy plans bidding as part of the 800-MW third phase.
The firms CEO Andrew de Pass had visited Dubai for talks with potential partners.
By year-end, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) expects to receive bids and to award contracts in the first half of 2016.
The ACWA-led consortium offered a record low power price of about USD 0.0584 (EUR 0.0515) per kWh during the phase II auction.
