Sri Lanka : SRI LANKA CENTRAL BANK opens bids to sell US$100 million worth of development bonds

During last week, Sri Lanka Central bank opened bids to sell US$ 100 million worth of development bonds to foreign and local investors.

The Public Debt Department of Central Bank will be issuing US$ 100 million in Sri Lanka Development Bonds of 22 months, 43 months and 5 years tenor at a floating rate of US Dollar 6 month LIBOR plus a margin determined through competitive bidding or a fixed rate determined through competitive bidding.

US$ 100,000 is the minimum investment with additional investments in multiples of US$ 10,000.

According to available information, the bonds are exempted from income tax paid in Sri Lanka.

From June 18 to 25, the issue will be open for submission of bids. The bonds carry a settlement date on 29th June, 2015.
