India : BLACK & VEATCH led consortium secures Indian Oil EPC contract for regasification unit

On Thursday, global engineering, procurement and construction company Black & Veatch announced that a consortium led by it alongside KSS Petron India, has secured the contract for Indian Oil’s liquefied natural gas terminal in Ennore, TamilNadu.
According to the company, “Black & Veatch will lead the EPC and commissioning work on a turnkey basis. The plant is scheduled to be complete by 2018.”
The work comprises of designing and construction of a facility to regasify five million tonnes per annum of tanker borne LNG received at the terminal.
Acting as Black & Veatch’s partner for this project, a Gurgaon-based, KSS Petron, will be offering construction solutions to the oil & gas, infrastructure and industrial sectors.
