Publish Date : 24-Jul-2015
The Cabinet Office has unveiled a prior information notice for the digital services framework to enable the market to share their views on the framework before changes are made to its existing structure.
Current and potential government suppliers have been asked to attend an event to discuss the redesign on the third version of the digital framework, called Digital Services 3, and the way to make contracts clearer and simpler.
The Digital Marketplace team on its blog said, "Before we publish the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), we want to consult with the market to seek views on whether suppliers can provide the services required under the framework. We'll be consulting on the procurement approach and proposed contract terms and conditions, as well as elements of the invitation to tender (ITT)."
During vendor consultation, the department is hoping to speak with those already supplying government, those who desire to supply government, businesses of any size in the digital and technology industries and companies providing services in areas like software or design.
The Cabinet Office will provide proposed framework elements like descriptions of the structures, terms and conditions of the framework agreement and a procurement timeline, To help with the consultation.
The Cabinet Office would issue a contract notice by the end of this year and have an operational framework agreement by February next year.
