The Department of Social Welfare and Development 6 (DSWD 6) has already released a total of P37, 711,006.67 for the implementation of the Bottom-Up-Budgeting (BuB) program in the province of Iloilo this year.
The amount will be used to fund 27 BuB approved community projects in 16 municipalities of the province.
Of the total amount, as shown in the data obtained from DSWD 6, the biggest amount, some P7, 578,000.00 went to the municipality of Concepcion for the construction of an evacuation center.
The municipality of Calinog got a total of P6, 580,006.67 for the construction of a Crisis Center for Women and a drainage canal and rehabilitation of a Farm-to-Market in Barangays Badu, Guiso, Canabajan and Malag-it.
Oton was given P4,500,000.00 for the construction of Crisis Centers for Women and Children in Conflict with the Law; Igbaras, P3,060,000.00 for the construction of a day care center and a crisis center; Cabatuan, P2,700,000.00 for the construction of a farm-to-market road and provision of learning materials on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD); Banate, P2, 106,000 for the construction of three day care centers; San Dionisio, P1,800.000.00 for the construction of two day care centers; Estancia, P1,791,000.00 for the construction of a crisis center; Badiangan, P1,404,000.00 for the construction of two Day Care Centers; and Balasan, P1,215,000.00 for the provision of learning materials on ECCD in its 24 day care centers.
The municipalities of Ajuy, Lambunao, Miag-ao, new Lucena received P900,000.00 each to fund construction of day care centers and crisis center in their respective areas.
Janiauay got P702,000.00 for the construction of a day care center while Guimbal P675,000.00 for the construction of a day care center located in Brgy. Anono-o.
As to the status of the projects, DSWD 6 Municipal Monitor Social Process Lailanie Madriaga said most of the implementers are now in the procurement stage. Target completion of the projects is before the yearend.
