The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently awarded P357,350 assistance to the Sta. Maria Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (SMTODA) here to fund the groups retail of motor parts and accessories project.

The municipal government will facilitate the procurement of materials based on the project proposal of the SMTODA and the purchased materials will be turned-over to the beneficiaries.

DOLE-Ifugao head Avelina Manganip said that the project will be directly monitored by their agency and the municipal government however, the management of the project will be fully turned-over to the association after three years.

A major violation of the provisions of the memorandum of agreement committed by the association will be a ground for terminating the project and the beneficiaries will be obliged to return the project fund to the DOLE.

SMTODA president Luzon Rosendo and BOD chairman Rey Bulosan expressed their appreciation for the support and pledged their commitment for the success of the project.
