China : CSUN arm sealed a 260MW PV module supply deal with CHINA POWER INVESTMENT

China Sunergy (CSUN) has won a module supply deal for a 260MW photovoltaic (PV) project through its subsidiary. CSUN has received the module supply deal from China Power Investment Corporation. CEEG (Nanjing) Renewable Energy, the EPC subsidiary of CSUN, has secured the tender.

During the next one-year, the modules will be set up in numerous ground-mounted PV power projects, which will be built throughout the country. The Chairman and CEO of CSUN Tingxiu Lu stated, "The winning of the bid demonstrates our ability and proven experience in supplying large-scale solar power plants.

"As the demand of solar energy products continuously grows in China, We expect the Company will further deepen its cooperation with China Power Investment Corporation, and we look forward to identifying and engaging similarly strategic opportunities in both Chinese and overseas markets in the near future."

Using its manufacturing facilities in China and Turkey, CSUN designs, produces and offers solar cells and modules and it has also been successful to sell modules of over 1.4GW since its inception in 2004. The company, which also invests in solar power projects, has 1.2GW of solar module production capacity as well. CSUN has recorded 767.8MW of overall deliveries in 2014. The firm is closely associated with the electrical transformer maker China Electric Equipment Group.
