Taiwans National Communications Commission (NCC) is in receipt of applications from four telecoms interested in bidding for 2.6 GHz spectrum.
Launch of the 2.5GHz and 2.6GHz tenderis scheduled for October, and interested operators should submit their applications until 4 September, post a TWD 1 billion (approximately USD 30.52 million) bond, and pay a TWD 1 million application review fee.
The list of qualified bidders will be announced by end-September or the beginning of next month, said the commission.
The auction reserve price for the band has been set by the NCC between 2.5GHz and 2.6GHz at TWD 14.4 billion.
