United Kingdom : NewRiver Retail appoints Cushman & Wakefield as strategic energy and sustainability advisors

NewRiver Retail has appointed Cushman & Wakefields Strategic Energy & Sustainability (SES) Team as its new advisor. One of the UKs largest owner/managers of shopping centres, NewRiver Retail is a leading specialist retail, real estate investment trust (REIT), with a 1 billion UK portfolio, comprising 29 shopping centres, 19 retail warehouses, 16 high street assets and 360 pubs.
The SES teams first task for NewRiver Retail will be to tender the companys utility procurement services and streamline its energy procurement activities. The team will then create a Responsible Property Investment (RPI) strategy for NewRiver Retail in preparation for its move to the main market of the London Stock Exchange.
