The government of Gambia has received nearly $17 million grant to fund the finalization of an educational project, under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE).

As per a statement issued by MoBSE, out of the total $11.9 million was secured from the World Bank, while $6.9 million came from the Global Partnership for Education Grant.

The money will be used towards the implementation of the Result for Education Achievement and Development (READ) project under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

Part of the grant will be used towards the procurement of electronic equipment like Nano Sanners, Line Printing Machine and 250 KVA Generator for the implementation of the projects.
