Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has instructed Health Minister Olexandr Kvitashvili to render a decision on the establishment of an independent national agency for procurement of drugs and medicines at the next meeting of the Government. The Prime Minister emphasized that at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, 28 October. "Why is there a bare-knuckle fight over the post of Health Minister Only one goal is pursued- to appoint a Minister with the view of controlling all the procurement. The function of the Minister, both under the law and the coalition agreement, lies in the formation of public policy, not the expenditure of public money for the procurement or management of state - owned entities," the Prime Minister underlined.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to Health Minister Olexandr Kvitashvili to render a decision on the establishment of an independent national agency for procurement of drugs and medicines at the next meeting of the Government.
