As it seeks to boost access to information and services online, Hampshire County Council has embarked on a procurement program for an off-premise cloud customer platform.

As part of a tender worth up to 75m, the authority said it is planning to implement a platform that will integrate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and eCommerce solutions, along with knowledge management, business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

Hampshire County Council leader Roy Perry said the tender marks the first time the authority would procure cloud solutions on such a scale.

He added, "The process will enable our IT teams to review a variety of options and technology when identifying IT systems and applications - adoption will depend on value for money."
