Philippines : MIAA to enter negotiated procurement for CCTV project
Publish Date : 20-Nov-2015
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) will enter into a negotiated procurement for its project related to closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) worth around half a billion pesos.
As participating bidders failed to meet, among others, technical requirements for the project, two failed biddings have already been announced.
The procurement law, or Republic Act (RA) 9184 allows a negotiated mode of procurement to be held after two failed biddings under the standard process.
The three bidders who took part in the latest bidding will be invited to participate in the negotiation.
RA 9184 provides, "[I]n all instances, the procuring entity shall ensure that the most advantageous price for the government is obtained."
The cost of the project is expected to reach P486 million.
