Poland : PR to take over operations of local services in Kujawsko-Pomorskie; Arriva RP mounts legal challenge
Publish Date : 07-Dec-2015
National regional train operator PR will take over running of local services on electrified lines in Kujawsko-Pomorskie effective from the December 2015 timetable change.
Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship offered a two-year contract to Arriva RP in 2013 to run the electric services, but it latter chose to offer the next contract directly to PR.
Arriva RP has launched a legal challenge to the decision not to tender the contract, which is under way.
Arriva RP has a separate 10-year deal to run services on non-electrified lines until the end of 2019.
