United Kingdom : PDI bags $2.25 million deal with NIGERIAN oil service company
Publish Date : 09-Dec-2015
A provider of multi-discipline engineering, project management and project services to the international energy industry, Project Development International (PDi) has received a contract with Nigerian oil service company Marine Platforms Limited (MPL) to offer technical support to the Chevron Agbami Phase 3 transport, installation and pre-commissioning project.
The deal is worth $2.25 million (1.5million).
Under the contract, PDi will provide support in onshore and offshore installation engineering activities in the Agbami field, Nigerias biggest deepwater development, located in central Niger Delta, west coast of Nigeria.
Completion is expected in early Q2 2016.
The agreement comprises PDi working together with the MPL engineering team in their Lagos office to deliver both project and structural engineering services, plus installation analysis and offshore support. Moreover, PDi will also offer specialist support in pre-commissioning, survey, geotechnical and procurement when needed.
Mark Gillespie, managing director at PDi said: On this project PDi will provide a dedicated project engineering team in MPLs office in Lagos who will work on a rotational basis with the indigenous MPL engineering team and be supported by project management and discipline engineering teams in the UK. The Lagos team will include individuals with structural engineering and installation analysis capability.
MPL has chartered the Polar Onyx and appointed other project equipment to perform the offshore installation activities, with PDi offering the onshore and offshore installation engineering support.
