Kenya : EACC investigates Mombasa Port cranes tender

The EACC has launched a probe into allegations that contrary to tender regulations, three ship-to-shore cranes that cost Sh3 billion are being made locally and not in Ireland.
The cranes were to be made in Ireland and then shipped to Kenya.
According to allegations, they are being made at Cormarco Ship Yard in Mombasa, rather than Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd in Ireland.
The cranes were to be supplied in 67 weeks, but it has been 101 weeks.
