A $88.3 million government deal has been bagged by HID Global for green cards in December.

We are proud of our long-standing relationship with the U.S. government and are committed to delivering a new generation of the U.S. Green Card along with new high-security employment documents for them in the years to come, Rob Haslam, HID Global VP of Government ID Solutions, said in a prepared statement.

As per the company, this is the recent government deal in the companys history.

Over the course of the new five-year deal, HID is seeking to produce, supply and store up to 34 million ID cards.

Severally, the secure identity and access control provider also declared that it utilized Genetecs Security Center Unified Platform to bring its headquarters here.

Dean Young, HID global physical security manager, said in a prepared statement that Genetec platform provides HID with strong video management capabilities for monitoring and investigations, a proven access control solution and unified intrusion detection, all within one complete solution.

The ability to manage both video surveillance and access control from one unified interface is a huge time-saver for our security team, Young said.

HID Global uses Genetec to manage cameras (Axis) and doors throughout its 250,000 square-foot headquarters. A dedicated security team actively monitors video and access control events, and the unified security interface makes handling alarms or reviewing video simple and efficient, according to an HID statement.
