Publish Date : 30-Dec-2015
A bill was authorized by the Ukrainian parliament on public procurement (No. 3559), which passes all electronic procurement to all budget-funded procurement.
As per the report, a total of 244 MPs supported the document.
"The bill extends electronic procurement our successful pilot project that has saved UAH 500 million for the state to all procurement," Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Maksym Nefyodov said in the parliament, presenting the document.
He further stated that some 2,300 customers have been associated to the Prozzoro pilot project, and procurement worth UAH 6.5 billion has been carried on. Around 12% of the budget-set price was preserved.
"In 2016, the passed endorsed document would allow saving up to UAH 4.5 billion in the consolidated budget, and in 2017 when it will work for the whole year it will save from UAH 35 billion to UAH 40 billion," Nefyodov said.
The bill would be effective from April 1, 2016 for central executive power and customers, which runs in some regions, and from August 1, 2015 for all customers.
