Oman : Duqm Terminal invites EoIs to build topside facilities of major project

Publish Date : 07-Jan-2016

The logistics provider for the storage and handling of liquid products in the new Port of Duqm, Duqm Terminal, is seeking Expressions of Interest (EoIs) from competent engineering companies for a contract to build the topside facilities of a major Liquid Storage Terminal and Dry Bulk Facilities project proposed at the seaport.

The deal, covering a significant package of works, marks the second phase of the strategically vital Liquid Storage Terminal and Dry Bulk Facilities project, which will underpin the development of a major refining and petrochemicals center at the adjoining Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Duqm on Omans Wusta coast.

Interested parties will have to seek prequalification (PQ) to take part in a tender for the selection of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor to build the projec's topside infrastructure.

The last date to submit Letters of Interest is January 22, 2016.

The winning bidder will be awarded a contract to implement the detailed design, procurement and construction of a package of works that includes, among other things, liquid storage tanks, pipelines and loading facilities, dry bulk handling facilities for pet-coke and sulphur storage, ship loaders and conveyors, buildings, roads infrastructure, and associated utilities.
