Greece : Energean's oil production from Prinos increases, well PA-35A on stream

Publish Date : 09-Jan-2016

Energean Oil & Gas, the international oil & gas exploration and production company focused on the Mediterranean and North Africa, is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed the drilling of well PA-35A in Prinos, which has come on stream on December 27th, 2015. The well was drilled with the Energean Force, the newly acquired Tender Assisted Drilling Barge owned and operated by Energean.

PA-35A was the first of fifteen development wells planned by Energean to be drilled in Greece to develop the 30 million barrels of 2P reserves in the Prinos, Epsilon and Prinos North oil fields in the Gulf of Kavala. The completion of well PA-35A has added over 1,500 bpd to the production of Energean, which is well above the expected 2P scenario rates.

Energean's exit production for 2015 reached 3,000 bpd in Prinos, a 60% increase from 2014. The drilling programme continues with well PA-40, the 2nd infill well in the Prinos oil field.
