Statoil Petroleum and Aker Solutions and OneSubsea Processing has inked a master service deals for potential engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts to offer subsea equipment in the medium term future.

Statoil has ratified aa EPC option deal with OneSubsea for subsea production system (SPS), comprising framework agreements for subsea operations services as well as subsea add-ons.

Statoil projects vice-president Torger Rd said: "In light of the current challenges the industry is facing the suppliers have demonstrated commitment and drive to break the cost curve and enhance competitiveness.

"Statoil has cooperated closely with the suppliers on technology qualification, concept development and pre-engineering studies, and jointly we have delivered successful subsea projects."

The deal would form a basis for future collaboration while simplifying collaboration going forward.

Rd added: "The agreements constitute a framework upon which the suppliers can continue with optimization and cost reducing measures."
