Australia : Tenders advertised for projects in schools

Tasmanian schools are set to benefit from projects totalling $3.55 million in upgrades to learning environments, which will also generate economic growth and job creation.
The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to providing the best possible learning environments and opportunities for Tasmanias children so they are better equipped for life in the workforce.
Today the Government advertised five tenders for projects around the state that will see our current and future students enjoy high-quality education facilities. This includes the refurbishment in existing learning areas in Cressy District High School for its extension to years 11 and 12.
In total, the Tasmanian Government has committed to a $94.9 million Capital Investment Program over the four years from 2015-16 to 2018-19 to ensure that schools across the state have high-quality education facilities that support learning and student engagement.
This strategic investment in Tasmanias infrastructure will drive economic growth and create jobs from the planning through to the construction phase.
The tenders announced include:
Cooee Primary School: $375,000 for the provision of an additional flexible learning area to meet growth. Cressy District High School: $1.275 million for refurbishment of existing areas to provide contemporary flexible learning environments and to extend to Year 11/12. Margate Primary School: $330,000 to refurbish a terrapin building, relocate after school care and online access centre to provide additional learning area to meet growth. Rokeby High School: $1.125 million for major refurbishment to provide contemporary science facilities (two science labs, prep room and adjoining general learning area). Springfield Gardens Primary School: $450,000 for internal refurbishments to create four additional general learning areas to allow the school to consolidate onto one site.
