Gamesa has been successful to receive new orders in India in recent times.

The Spanish developer has won new contracts for the establishment of three wind power projects, with an overall generation capacity of 130MW of energy.

Gamesa has secured the first order for a 50MW wind power project in Gujarat from an unnamed customer. The company will be responsible for delivering engineering, procurement, construction services for this project in the Western State of India.

The firm will carry out installation of 25 units of its G97-2.0 MW turbines at the wind farm, due to be operational in this September.

It has obtained the second order for a prospective 30MW wind energy project in the State of Madhya Pradesh, slated to be activated in Q1, 2016. Gamesa will set up G97-2.0 MW Class S turbines into this wind power plant.

It will be in-charge of all the related infrastructure jobs for the setting up of the turbines and managing their operations for the two projects.

Gamesa has disclosed that it has won the third project from an independent locally-based operator and developer for a different venture in the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh.

Gamesa, adhering to the newly awarded contract, will provide 25 units of its G97-2.0 MW Class S turbine models with a combined capacity of 50MW for the project in Madhya Pradesh.

It is anticipated that the commissioning of the project will be accomplished by Q1, 2016.

The order-book of Gamesa for India has surpassed the 1,300MW-mark last year, reflecting a growth of 54% Year-on-Year.

The company was successful to secure a contract last month for a turnkey construction project from Tata Power for the establishment of the Nimbagallu wind farm in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, with a generation capacity of 100MW of power.

The commissioning of the wind farm, which will feature 50 G97-2.0 MW Class S turbines of Gamesa, is likely to be happened in May next year.
