Sweden : Trafikverket to launch procurement process for Ostlanken high speed line as consultation process process

Infrastructure manager Trafikverket would launch the process of procurement this month to build the Ostlanken high speed line.
On 1st February national consultation agency Sverigeforhandlingen started the official consultation process with local authorities over the preferred route and location for the intermediate stations.
Outlining the proposed procurement strategy on January 28, Trafikverket's Head of Procurement Johan Sundin and Head of Construction Otto Andersson confirmed that briefing meetings with construction groups will start this month ahead of the official tendering.
The project to build the line would get underway in 2017.
