Uber has announced the introduction of tender process for the Indian market to develop its mapping with an aim of increasing the experience for its customers and drivers.

The crucial firms like Cognizant, Accenture and Wipro have entered the bidding, with an objective of securing the outsourcing deal.

For the Uber Map Improvement Group, the request for proposal has been made, with an aim of improving Ubers mapping assets, assuring quicker pick-up times is one of the many requirements.

The value of deal is intended to be around $50 million (RS 350 crore).

Uber plans to unveil the map improvement at scale by the starting of March and is seeking to onboard 500 to 1000 operators by the end of 2016 or early 2017.
