Engineering services company Amec Foster Wheeler has won a 1-year, 125m engineering, procurement and construction contract with BP.

The contract is for the construction of a new refrigeration plant that will maintain efficient operations across BPs Forties pipeline system.

It includes the oil giants refrigerated liquid petroleum gas site in Grangemouth, Scotland, that forms part of the company's Kinneil Liquid Petroleum Gas Chilldown project.

The contract was awarded under Amec's global deal with BP to provide it with engineering and project management services supporting development of onshore facilities worldwide.

Amec said, "This contract is a great example of how we are using our leading brownfield and onshore engineering experience and expertise to deliver the best solution for our client. We have been working with BP at Grangemouth since the 1970s and look forward to providing them with continued safe and efficient operations.
