India - Govt Approves Rs 392 cr Purchase of Helicopters by Pawan Hans

The government on Wednesday approved purchase of seven \'Dauphin\' helicopters by Pawan Hans Helicopters for Rs 392.50
crore.
The state-owned company had signed a memorandum of agreement with France-based Eurocopter for seven Dauphin AS- 365 N3 helicopters on March 4, 2009.
The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure also approved additional orders by Pawan Hans with Eurocopter as an option that can be exercised with the state-run firm.
\"This will enable Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd to augment capacity for growth and meet additional requirement of offshore
operations,\" an official statement said.
