United States : MEGLOBAL to put up World-Scale Plant in FREEPORT

A joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Companies (PIC) and EQUATE Petrochemical Company, MEGlobal has plans to put up a new world-scale monoethylene glycol (MEG) chemical plant beside Dow Chemical Companys Oyster Creek plant located in Freeport, Texas.
This will be MEGlobal's first plant in the U.S. Already, it runs two plants in Canada.
The building of plant would require more than $1 billion.
At this time, Jacobs Engineering Group Incorporated is carrying out the Front-end Engineering and Design (FEED) while MEGlobal is looking for an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.
