Philippines : COMELEC to procure P20m worth of uniforms for the General Elections

The Commission on Elections, as a preparation to the General Elections slated for May 9, 2016, has decided to buy uniforms worth over P20 million.
It will award the procurement contract for uniform to be utilized by its workforce and members of the Board of Election Inspectors during the elections.
The Bids and Awards Committee of the Commission has announced in its bid invitation that it has been in search of suppliers for 277,527 pieces of BEI Election Day Uniforms (Lot 1) plus 6,158 pieces of Comelec Employees Election Day T-shirts (Lot 2).
The poll agencys Approved Budget for the Contract is P20,814,525 for Lot 1, with a shirt to cost P75.
The Commission has made a P1,231,600 budget for Lot 2, with every shirt carrying a price tag of P200.
Comelec disclosed, Bids received in excess of the ABC per item shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.
Interested bidders will be able to collect the complete set of bidding documents from the BAC Secretariat Office situated at the 7th Floor, Palacio del Gobernador Building at Intramuros in Manila.
While documents for Lot 1 will cost P25,000, the next lot will be available for P5,000.
The bidding documents can be bought by the interested parties from March 22 to April 13, 2016, between Monday and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm from the BAC Secretariat Office.
The BAC has also decided to carry out a Pre-Bid Conference at 2 pm on 30th of this month, which will take place at the EBAD Conference Room, located at 7th Floor of the Palacio del Gobernador Building as well.
Interested bidders will have to offer their proposals by 9am on April 13, 2016, at the BAC Secretariat Office.
Comelec has planned to open the bids at 10 am on April 13, 2016, in the EBAD Conference Room.
