Publish Date : 30-Mar-2016
The Department of Road (DoR) has announced that the government has launched tender process to upgrade two strategic roads connecting Nepal with China.
Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has approved two separate plans to allow DoR to start procurement process for the upgrading of Galchhi-Trishuli (24 km) road section into a double-lane black-topped road, and to gravel Jomsom- Kora La (100 km) road.
Galchhi-Trishuli is a section of road that links Prithvi Highway with Nepali bordering town of Rasuwagadhi via Syafrubesi.
Joint secretary of DoR, Gopal Prasad Sigdel, said that they will soon start tender process to fast-track the two road projects.
