E-Zec Medical Transport Services Ltd, that presently runs in Dorset, Hereford, Birmingham and London, has bagged a deal of 5 year worth around 2.2 million.

It was awarded by the GP-driven Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the countys district hospitals and community health service trust.

David Slack, Somerset CCGs managing director, said: This essential service supports many thousands of pre-booked journeys each week for those patients with a clear medical need.

The E-Zec Medical Transport Service will render transport to patients amid 6am and midnight, 7 days week in addition to bank holidays.

The E-zec team are delighted with the outcome of the tender process and are looking forward to providing patients in Somerset with a high quality transport service, said Andy Wickenden, Commercial Director with E-zec Medical Transport Services.
