An electronic gaming machines maker, RGB International Bhd, said the tender to purchase and operate the Savan Vegas Hotel and Entertainment Complex in Laos has been discontinued.

RGB said, "The Board of Directors wishes to announce that the tender for sales process for the Savan Vegas Hotel & Entertainment Complex in Lao PDR was terminated by the Government of Lao PDR (People's Democratic Republic).

RGB had earlier announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary RGB (Macau) Ltd, managing director Datuk Chuah Kim Seah, along with Ung Chi Fong, had submitted an expression of interest to take part in bidding for the 50-year concession.

On March 25, 2016, the Laos government had shortlisted six interested parties to submit their respective tender to bid for the concession agreement.

The RGB trio was among the shortlisted, with other five parties : Groupe Lucien Barrire, Iao Kun Group Holding Co Ltd, Macau Legend Development Ltd, PGP Investors LLC, and Silver Heritage Ltd.

Location of the complex is in Kaisonphomvihanh District, Savannakhet Province of Laos. It features a full-service casino, a hotel and several entertainment and leisure offerings.
