The Government of Cameroon, as part of its three-year emergency plan introduced 2015, recently has granted FCfa 53.7 billion worth of a pair of road construction contracts to Sner of Chad and Nigerian firm Atidolf Nigeria
The Government has awarded the largest contract worth FCfa 34.3 billion to the Nigerian company to build the Soa-Esse-Awae road in the Central Cameroonian region.
The Chadian firm, on the other hand, has secured the contract for building the Maroua-Bogo road in the Extreme-North region of the country. The value of this deal stands at FCfa 19.4 billion.
Sner has been established with the departure of the Chadian State from the Socit nationale dentretien routier (National Company for Road Maintenance).
The Cameroonian Government has awarded two road construction contracts to the Chadian and Nigerian companies as part of the restricted global request for bids floated for these project pair on December 1, 2015.
The announcement on the results of the bidding process has been made by the Public Procurement Minister Abba Sadou.
The Minister has disclosed in a statement that bid winners must accomplish the road projects by a two-year period.
