Australia,United States : Qantas to launch freighter service to Dallas Fort Worth

Publish Date : 08-Jun-2016

In a bid to strengthen its route connecting Australia, China and the U.S., Qantas Freight plans to launch a weekly freighter service to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW).

The airline currently runs four weekly 747-400F freighter services connecting the three countries, and from June 9, one of these flights will make a further stop at DFW on Thursday mornings.

The flight's complete route will be Sydney-Chongqing-Shanghai-Chicago-Dallas-Los Angeles-Sydney.

Qantas CEO for International and Freight, Gareth Evans, said, "Qantas already carries freight in the belly space of our daily A380 passenger services between Sydney and Dallas Fort Worth. The addition of this B747-400 freighter service now gives us capacity for main deck and oversize shipments."
