JSW Energy has participated in the tender recently announced by the Power Company of Karnataka Ltd (PCKL) in which bids were opened on Thursday.

Replying to a clarification sought by the bourses with reference a news report, JSW Energy said, the company participates in bids sought by power procurers and has participated in the recent tender floated by PCKL in which bids were opened yesterday and thereafter the bids are to be evaluated, processed and approved by various authorities prior to placement of any order/contract.

According to the company, whenever a proposal results into execution of binding documents it will comply with the provisions of the Securities and Exchange Board of India and make requisite disclosures accordingly.

We wish to clarify that JSW Energy sells power through a combination of long-term and short-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), JSW Energy added.
