Publish Date : 20-Jun-2016

A farm equipment maker will now own the remaining 7,000 acres of the former Seneca Army Depot.

The Seneca County Industrial Development Agency Board of Directors unanimously approved the sale of the acreage to Seneca Ironworks owner Earl Martin for $900,000.

Martin's offer was the third highest of 16 bids the IDA secured in February including an offer from Seneca White Deer Inc.

The nonprofit will gain access to several square miles of acreage at the north end of the former depot for a deer park, said Seneca White Deer President Dennis Money.

Money added that he and Martin are working out terms of the agreement.
